Rocky Balboa is a kind but unexperienced club fighter from Philadelphia, whose main source of money comes from collecting debts from his crime boss, Gazzo. Even though he has potential talent, nobody believes that Rocky has the motivation and inspiration to make himself professional. He falls in love with his best friend's sister, Adrienne, and everything is now okay for him. Now, things are better as the former champion Appolo Creed seeks to take on Rocky, "the Italian Stallion." Rocky sees this as a chance to live his dream and go the win the heavyweight champion of the world.

Overall, I liked the movie. I definitely think it is a little bit overrated. I did see creed a couple months ago and thought that was phenomenal compared to this, but it was still pretty good. I liked the acting a lot. Nothing beats Sylvester Stallone's accent. I thought that the shy personality of Adrienne made it so much better compared to if they fell in love from the start. That love connection between them two throughout the movie was great, slowly she came out of her shell and they fell in love. I didn't like the story leading up to the big fight at the end though. I thought it wasn't hyped up enough going into the final fight; it wasn't as suspenseful as it could have been. I did like the montage of him running towards the beginning, and not doing that hot; then in the end he sprints right up the stairs with the music in the background it made for a great scene. I noticed a lot of long shots, with not a lot of cuts. That made it seem more natural and professional I feel when watching the story. So overall, I thought the acting was very impressive, and the storyline was phenomenal, I thought it was what made it a top 100 movie. Some of it lost interest at least for me in the beginning though, like when he was meeting with his boss to get money and things. The music made me smile in the beginning, really set a tone for the rest of the show, and the camera work was pretty impressive.

I would recommend this movie to a friend. I have yet to see any of the other Rocky movies and would like to, but I could only imagine that they are just as good. I would want to watch this movie again, to hopefully pick up on more tips and hopefully get some advice and different perspectives. The movie is very entertaining to watch, the storyline slowly gets more interesting, eventually sitting on the edge of my seat in the end. There is a very good balance of action, to drama which makes it appeal to the majority of audiences.
