The movie I watched was Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, directed by Steven Spielberg. The basic synopsis of the movie, is that Indiana is racing to find a lost artifact with the Nazis. Indiana is an archeology teacher, and is called in and offered big money to try to beat them to it. The nazis are planning to use it to rule the world, but underestimate its power. Indiana is always just a hair of a step I shed of them, and always seeking adventure. This breathtaking movie is a must watch.

Watching this, I really noticed that the digital animations and effects, were actually good that far back in time. The plot of the movie was very good, they did a good job not getting sidetracked in too much drama with Indians girlfriend, and kept it suspension which makes it entertains to watch and not wanting to leave the screen until you finish it. The lighting I found to be interesting, being in and out of caves the whole movie, they made a really cool dim, like the sun peeking in, very often in the movie which was very cool too see. Also the parts in the desert when it was extremely bright with blue skies, there was a good amount of glare at times, which wasn’t that hard to notice. I noticed during fight or action scenes, they more often than not switched between a third person view of someone, than a third person view of the other focus in the scene, which gave you the two perspectives of what was going on in that specific scene. The acting was good I thought, at sometimes you can tell that it could’ve been better. I enjoyed the middle to end part of the movie a lot, the first twenty minutes or so, it took awhile to get going into the plot. Once the journey started for Indy, it seemed very realistic and they almost made it seem like a sci fi movie. The music is very recognizable, they repeatedly played the theme song, after a change in pace and scene in the movie. There was some quiet background music often towards the middle of the movie, to add suspense and or drama to the specific scene. Towards the end when a certain scene happens (don’t wanna spoil) the visual effects are phenomenal, it shows multiple faces just phasing shapes and color and it is so well put together.

I would highly recommend this film. Even though it is old, it was still and excellent film. I was engaged the whole time, and was very fun to watch. This was the only Indiana Jones movie I haven’t seen, and really was a man among boys out of them all. All the movies are a chronological series, so I recommend to watch them all in order. It as an action adventure that keeps you on your seat the whole time.
