Construction News Story

I was in a group with Devin, Liv and I. For the stand up we though started on the hill was the best idea, because the fall scenery was very pretty and would make for a good background. For the stand up, we used the special 50 mm lense, the one where you adjust the aperture. It was good to use, but was hard to use and get used to to adjust it while filming. I edited it, and Devin shot it, and Liv did the sound for our interview with Paulina. For the Stand up, Devin acted, Liv did the sound, and I was the DP.  We made a couple mistake. The first one was forgetting to clap, and we didn't let the clip role, we cut it a bunch which both made it very hard to match the audio together. For the interview with Paulina, the batteries for the Tascam were dead, which was my fault for not checking. We drove around town to get our B-roll, we used the T5i camera with a steady cam. The music we used I just found off the internet and used clipgrap, I felt soft piano was an appropriate background sound.

There was a stand up in the beginning, which led into a voice over with that same person. It then switched to a male voice over, who led it into yet a different voice over, with specific details of the news story, with video b-roll and pictures of planes and ambulances of the military accident. After giving the news on it, it gives background of the military camp it happened at. The b-roll was effective, they were talking about the scenario of the troops getting injured, with the b-roll being videos of what the camp looked like, and the troops in the ambulance. There was one person interviewed, who was the one that gave the info of it. It does not use the voice of the public, it is a professional person.
